well..its a girl nightmare to gain weight.clothes start to fit uglier and bulges appear everywhere. i started gaining weight mostly during my recovering period from a nasty breakup, so i turn to food for comfort,giving myself a motto" gemuk secara sihat" silly me i know.
so a year pass by, the scale's has been showing a steadily increase no,but i kinda ignore it..well because i know..dieting is hard.i love my food. until one day, the number showed a freaking 60kg. well im a 155 cm girl. and one thing i know, i dont like how i look in clothes. i cant buy/wear fashionable things that i want that make me look good in it, and my body feels heavy. well fyi, i have been always the s/m size b4 i gained..and i have no desire to try to be as stick thin as currently im weighing about 53 kg. *still berat okeh* though i wish i could lose a bit more,maybe up to 50kg or more ideally the 48kg,but at this point, im pretty happy and i dont really mind maintaining at this weight.
so how did i do it?
1.please tell urself, a weight loss cannot be done over a fortnight. it takes time, for me it takes 3 months.
*remember* if u lost. it fast,u'll gain as fast as u lost. a healthy weight lost is about 1kg/week.
2. set up ur mind. set up a goal. and try to change your view of dieting. i guess rather than calling it diet,one should somehow undergo a lifestyle change..from a loser like me who live with eating+sleeping to somebody who live healthily. (i walk now back to home from school. *clap clap to me*)
3.dont skip meals. and do control ur size of serving. i usually never bother bout how much veggie and fruits i consumed, but i care of the protein size ( try eat chicken breast that as size of ur palm ) and for carbohydrates, i try to have as less as possible
i actually made a lot of research of several type of diet what so ever, but i believe that dieting shouldnt be done artificially. so i somehow believe in eating right and exercising. not by taking a pill or extreme dieting. so i underwent the 1200 calories per day diet and trying to spread this 1200 kalories over 4/5 meal time (breakfast,mini snack,lunch,mini snack, dinner) and start exercising too. mind you,i hate exercising. good for you if you're are into it,but well as for me, i look for my own solutions. and somehow i found bodyrock.tv!
why body rock?
because its only a freaking 12 minutes exercise/5 days with 2 days rest. i can bear that painful 12 minutes.HAHAHAHA. and plus the host, lisa is freaking adorable. its a site which the work outs got explained very well and teach you to modify it according to ur levels. as for me,i made my own level,tweaking here and there. as long as im exercising :)
so what u can eat with a 1200 calories diet?
a lot if u are smart about it! well to be honest ,i didnt really count my calories to bits and pieces, but i roughly estimate.
let say : for breakfast : i eat fitness cereal +low fat milk +blueberries = 150 calories
lunch : pieces of meat ( fish, meat , chicken breast) + veggies( in salad form or even wok style) *if im craving for rice ill take like 3 tea spoon of rice maybe :P*
dinner: either im lazy, ill have a tuna salad. or a half packet of maggi mee (its only 170 for half serving ok! ) yes i know its not healthy , or the same lunch menu.
and for snack: anything from 100-150 calories. u can eat anything u want within this range. but fruits will be a great idea. it is never a sin t eat how much or many fruits u want. go crazy! i sometimes have low cal biscuits, yogurt with frozen blueberries and honey. well..in easier words, u can eat almost anything,provided u know the portion u should only take..so do ur study people! *i.e read the calories label *
well try to eat as natural a possible. give urself loads of veggie and fruits, eat lean meat and eat fish..control the usage of ur sugar in drinks or food, and cook things in healthier way.
i guess in the end, its about how u are doing things that u can apply. everybody has different methods, it up to u anyway.
